Local Solicitors Pull Out All The Stops For Local Charities

Hale & Bowdon Magazine - Issue 28 April 2008

Neil Myerson LLP swapped their suits for sweatbands in November 2007 when they became involved in a series of challenges to raise cash for Harry and Jock's Appeal and Family Contact Line as part of the celebrations taking place to mark the firm's 25th year of successful practice in Altrincham.

Neil Myerson LLP undertook a 24-hour marathon at Total Fitness Gym by running, swimming and cycling the equivalent of 150 miles. Staff were also required to use all their negotiation skills in a race back to Altrincham from Glasgow Airport, without spending any money! This meant they had to 'blag' their way home by persuading passers-by and the public transport system to give them a free ride in the name of charity.

Managing partner Carl Newton and founding partner Neil Myerson were set a series of gruelling and sometimes humiliating challenges throughout Wales. Other partners Steven Richards and Tim Norman cycled from Liverpool to Altrincham to commemorate the journey Neil Myerson made 25 years ago when he set up the firm.

All in all their efforts raised just over £10,000 to be shared equally between the two charities.
